Sadly our mother was taking from us too soon from covid-19. She was a lovely and beautiful woman who left an ever lasting impression on those who knew her and did not. She died doing what she loved to do and wished to be a nurse since she was a little girl. She died a frontline nurse in a global pandemic and risked her life to help her patients. We will never let her memory fade away, and continue to do her great work of sharing love and being an advocate for this virus. We have many things in store for her memory so please be sure to stay tuned. I’ll update here when new things commence.
One of our plans is to create a scholarship fund for African American women in the nursing field. My mother waited until she was 50 to go back to school for nursing, it’s never too late. However certain circumstances can hinder anyone from making the decision to pursue a nursing degree, like money. And we are here to help those who need it. Details about this will come later.
